Subject: Nose Clip

Swim workouts for the longest time were a pain- literally- because it seemed to drown my sinuses. I would sneeze and have a runny nose for hours and sometimes days after a workout. 4 swims a week and I felt like I was dying. Finally I tried a nose clip. It worked fantastic but it took a while to get used to it and adjust it properly. I'm able to still exhale almost as well through my nose but no water leaks in. I'm loving the swim again. This has never seemed to be a problem in races so maybe I'm allergic to chlorine?

Anyone else ever have this problem and anyone else wear a nose clip while swimming?

Yep
exactly the same problem allergic to chlorine 2 hours after a swim I could barely breath my sinuses were so plugged up, much much better with a clip I even use it for OWS swims too Now. Now when I swim without it ,it almost feels weird.

I always use a nose clip and just exhale with my mouth.  During races, I just stick an extra one in my goggles strap or wetsuit neck just in case I lose it for some reason.  It may look silly but who cares.  We're triathletes.  Looking silly is part of the game!

What should I consider when adding aero bars? What are good brands? Are there pitfalls to be aware of? How can I adjust them to fit me?

I read somewhere about "bar ends" to put on your handle bars, do you recommend them? Is this similar to adding clip on aero bars?

I cannot get comfortable without the nose of the saddle being tilted down. I have tried many different seats and had two professional fittings, but still have excessive numbness and discomfort.

Enter the new TYR X-Sight goggles. The X-Sights have been designed with a flexible nose bridge that (surprise, surprise) is shaped like an “X”.
