Looks like it has been a while since people have posted on here. What are folks up to now that winter is on the way? What is on the menu for 2015? Any triathletes in Central Maine looking to start a training group?

I live in the Portland area...this off season will be taking it easy thru Nov - un structure training but a bit of all three each week. Then I will launch into a bike focus on the trainer for 3 months with just enough running and swimming that I don't forget how.

North Yarmouth here. Training for a marathon in Jan but continuing with lighter bike and swim. There is a 1/2 marathon on the 23rd in SO Portland that I will be doing...come on out.

The off season should be just that – a time to rest your body, to rehabilitate injury, and to plan ahead on how to improve performance and prevent injury in the season to come.

The off-season is the best time to fine tune your skills and prepare yourself for the next season. It is also time for you to gain some strength and get a little rest after a long season of training.

Maintain a two-day-a-week swimming and running routine. If this happens, my 2005 times should be greatly improved in these areas.

If you develop a strategy for the off-season, you can go into the next season stronger than you ended the past season.
