15 , Maine | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I would like to join. I am out of all races until I can get down to 190lbs. Weighed in at 209 this morning. My last trail race was a disaster. 13 Mile trail race that completely kicked my rear end. I never walk during races but this one I ended up walking in the last mile. I feel my weight was the biggest contributing factor to doing so poor. |

Once I get there I might target the low 190's. They say 2 seconds per mile per pound so dropping 19 lbs would be a great aid for running races !!!!! |

78 | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down So I blew it today. Among other things, I did not plan supper (kneeing that I should make a crockpot meal because Thursday's are crazy busy). So I puked up fast food for supper for the family. Just when I got rid of my weekend weight. Oh well, start over tomorrow. |

Veteran 263 Goodyear | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I would like to join in! Just saw the post! I have gained over 20lbs after IMAZ. Yikes. I am back at it and in the weight loss training mode. Putting my hours in on Swim/Bike/Run but not miles. It hurts to much to run with the extra weight. My profile photo is back when I was 123 lbs. My best performance at that weight. What if we did a chart and post it here for accountability? We can weigh in on Fridays? Edited by Triacy 2014-10-04 9:13 AM |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Today is a "no bueno" day. My scale put me up to 256. Pretty much my son's birthday dinner and cake were to blame (read: me.). Training did end up better last week, but only because I only got out once the week before. I'm in a place where real life is unavoidably invading my training time and there's not much I can do at the moment about it. We'll see where I end up on the Wed weigh-in. |

Expert 994 Clio, MIchigan | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I'm in. I need some accountability for the last 10 lbs. Very frustrated and unhappy with myself at the moment. There's alot mentally going on that's draining my will power to get out and do something. Combine that with actively fighting being an emotional eater, and I'm heavier than I want to be right now. So Here it is october, I dont just want to maintain through the holidays, I want to lose the 10 lbs I gained not competing this summer. |

Elite 3488 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Welcome all !!! If someone wants to set up a chart - that would be great (although I am sure a couple would not want to post numbers to that ) I think I am going to focus on a Wednesday weigh in since that works well this year with the 1st of Oct, Christmas and the last day of the year. Everyone can choose which day works/fits best for their own goals. As for accountability I only got one of my rides in this weekend and it got shorted since I didn't get out of bed before sunrise and once I did, I ended up waiting for it to get above 45. Have stepped on the scale yet, but I fear too many munchies during the first half of the Bronco game will not be kind. Hopefully I can get a couple of walks and spins in before hitting the scale Weds morning and have the number be "ok" |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I am back home from driving my Mom back to Fla and helping her get settled in for the winter (poor thing ). I did okay, I ate fairly well, splurged some and got some training in but not what I wanted. I did not gain weight, but didn't lose any either. Now I have a few days before heading out for a week and a half. I hope to get a lot of walking in as well as some running. Fingers crossed that I don't gain weight either. Count me in on one who will NOT be putting actual numbers in a chart. I will but weight change numbers but there is no way I am going to write my actual weight down. Heck, my husband doesn't even know that |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I'm not too keen on the chart m'self... I'm already beating myself up over my last 2 plateaus since I'll have done good to have lost 10lbs from this time last year . I am down 30 total since July '14 so overall progress isn't too bad. Will post my wieght on Sundays if that's okay since that's the one morning I generally like to punish myself . Also, not going to comment on this week so far, because I don't care to jinx myself like I did last week... heheh |

81 Red Deer, Alberta | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Nice job on dropping 1.6 pounds! Your bike ride sounds lovely - I wish. WEeve had 40+ mph winds for days; my 10 mile run on Sunday left me hurting more than after my Ironman. Ugly. Sigh - I was doing so well. On Friday last week I was down, below 140! Then we had no one, but TWO birthday parties for my son... pizza, cake, homemade lasagna (since I made it, it was probably the least bad thing I ate!), more cake. Sunday was the run from H*LL, so Monday I slept through my alarm and missed my swim; then at work I found out one of our employees passed away on the weekend. As the HR manager, my role includes doing all notifications, etc. Rough week so far. Feeling run down, like I'm fighting a flu bug, I've blown off 4 workouts so far this week, and my "down" has not surprisingly crept back up to 141.7 as of this morning - up by .3 pounds. So, it's trying to get enough rest, feel better, and get back on track. I have my last race of the season (a half mary) in 11 days, so I still have some motivation to train. How's everyone else doing? |

Extreme Veteran 1148 Nisbet, PA | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Just returned from my WW's meeting. I was UP 2/10 despite the working out. Frustrated! On a happier note, I had my physical last week and my doctor says that according to my bloodwork and my vitals I am only 35 years old. He was happy with everything, except my weight. If I don't see some positive results next week at WW's I am going to see about an appointment with a nutritionist. I'm pretty sure it's covered under my BCBS. |

It should be covered and, even if you DO see positive change, it can help so much in the long run. Congrats on your 35th birthday! |

Robin, most decent hotels nowadays have at least a fitness room. Many have pools. And if you're really lucky you might even have one with a hot tub or sauna. Stay the path! |

We are staying in a hotel. Then we are going to cousins house and we are staying in their 50s vintage airstream. No hot tub, no pool, no workout room. However, I should be able to get some good runs in. Only during daylight, they have been having Mt, Lions and Coyotes around. I would be a tasty meal and not hard to catch! |

Member 256 Iowa City, Iowa | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I thought I'd chime in almost mid month. I'm about 10 lbs away from where I'd like to be by Christmas. I recently regained a belt loop (from losing weight) and have switched my breakfast foods (which used to be nothing or a bowl of cereal) to just fruit, like an apple & banana. Also, since posting I've gotten better about my night time eating. A lot going on with me but I'm taking these last 10 lbs seriously as a reachable goal and excited to see what next month looks like. Keep up the good work folks! |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Originally posted by WebFootFreak My scale put me up to 256. Well the good news this week is that I dropped back to 254, so I'm moving in the right direction again. I also got in an okay swim, 2 short negative split runs (wanted 3), and short and medium length (for me) bike rides. Now if I could finish getting my diet straightened back out (read: actually use a little self-control) I could get this weight-loss thing rolling again! Also, ordering a mag trainer so I can make sure I get my bike work in every week. |

I have been fighting off some crud and have done nothing the last week. It is close to being gone so hopefully I can get back at it tomorrow. |

Have fun with it. I'm just getting my hands on a no-name unit for now. The wife is iffy about spending money on something she's not sure I'm going to use. Little does she know, lol! All I'm worried about is getting one that's adjustable so I can start tearing into some intervals. Just waiting for her to let me pull the trigger on it! |
