81 Red Deer, Alberta | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Being sick doesn't help - hopefully this week will be better for you! I'm holding steady... which considering I too was sick last week is OK by me. Scale this morning read 141.6. Still up from October 1, but pretty much the same as last week, so it's OK. Nutrition is still iffy - too much pie (Canadian Thanksgiving... mmmm... pie....) plus take out Chinese food while watching Kona on Saturday - not great choices. Trying to be better this week. |

Veteran 612 Kennebunkport, Qatar | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Hope I can jump in also! I really need to get back to a decent weight, had a very bad year and just can't seem to get my weight moving down? Put on about 20# over the last year. I have some huge goals this coming season and being down to 201-210 will help me achieve them. Starting out at 242, ouch! was around 222 last year at this time. I've been pretty good on the workouts this week despite long work days. I set up my trainer in the basement and signed up for Trainerroad again, Love that app! runs are short and slow, still trying to get rid of my PF. It seems that i have several good days eating but then have a bad one and all my losses are right back, oh well just need more work. Looking forward to fighting the fight with all of you! |

I found that the tool kept me on track, and was very flexible as opposed to going to meeting that a) didn't fit my schedule and b) didn't motivate me anyway! Good luck! |

Thanks, I like how it allows you to save your activity points and also the flexibility of the extra Pts. Starting weight this morning was 172.4- looking forward to going down from here. |

Elite 3488 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Another Wednesday - another week with a lot of pre-empted workouts 219.0 and 27% - down barely and BF% up. And outside of Sunday night's Bronco game I don't think I ate that poorly overall. |

81 Red Deer, Alberta | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I sympathize! Another week gone, and up again as well... 142.6 this morning. Which is down from Monday, but up a pound+ on the month. Last week was rough, this week isn't looking much better (double & triple booked, with workouts being the first to be dropped). However, I will keep trying. |

Extreme Veteran 1148 Nisbet, PA | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down I have to say that it was a great weigh-in tonight. The workouts are finally starting to pay off. I was down 5.6 pounds tonight! Even so, I'm pretty sure I'm still the heaviest on this group at 373.6 lbs. But that's still down 23 lbs from where I originally started. We have a really exceptional WW's group on Wednesday nights, really open and sharing, very supportive. All of the long-timers know me and know that I hate to track my foods. But I LOVE to track my Activity Points (AP). I was asked to night what the difference is. Tracking activity points shows me what I have accomplished. Tracking my food intake feels like I am restricting/depriving/punishing myself for being fat. I know it's an odd way to think, but that's it in a nutshell. There was an interesting idea tonight though that I am going to try to track this week. One of the group says she is fanatical about tracking her "Good Health Guidelines", making sure she gets her water, vitamins, healthy oils, etc each day. I can see that as a positive goalto work toward, so I'm going to try it this week. |

Veteran 612 Kennebunkport, Qatar | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Down a few pounds, but they sure seem to be coming slow! 240 this morning, I was hoping I would get a bigger drop after a week of good clean eating and working out everyday, I've even been disciplined enough to forgo the beers during the World Series ( Go Giants!). Great job on the loss leatherneck! |

Extreme Veteran 1148 Nisbet, PA | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Thanks Mtndan. Don't sweat it yet. It took three weeks of effort for me to see a loss. I actually gained two of those weeks, despite the workouts and the diet. Stay the course, consistency is the key, you will see your reward. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Hey all I am back from my trip and ready to rock and roll. I did not gain anything while I was gone, but neither did I lose any. I am logging my food (I HATE it, but it really helps to keep an eye on what I am doing), watching portion sizes and going to start getting real with the HIM training. Good job to all you "losers". |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Originally posted by WebFootFreak Back up 1lb to 255. Diet sucked, training rocked. Vacation this week, uh oh! Vacation wasn't good. The exercise room was nonexistant, heated pool wasn't and I went off and left my running shoes right by the bed (meant to pack them). That should tell you guys how much work I did... The scale laughed at me when it said 256.5, but I think I may have gotten the last laugh. I brought my meds with me (HBP & Diabetic), but completely forgot to take ANY of it (Wed-Sat). So, I get up this morning, and I take my Glucose and BP... before I say this, I'm going for full disclosure... we bought fudge, and I had 2 1/2" cubes last night about 9ish.... BP: 164/98. No surprises there... If I can ever pull my head out, and stick to a diet (knowing and doing seem to be two different things at the moment), this may improve... Glucose: 106. Yeah... I even took a second test on a second tester... I'm not sure what's going on, but this number seems to be still improving even after the Dr cutting my meds twice this year... so even tho I gained the last 2 weeks, there is something good going on! |

Extreme Veteran 1148 Nisbet, PA | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Freak, that's great news on both the test and that your meds are being decreased. From everything I've read, consistent exercise could conceivably eliminate your need for those. |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Well, I went in originally because I heard my heartbeat in my ears... Got put on those meds right away. A year later, she twigged me as diabetic. Thankfully it wasn't bad, and my own reluctance to alter my diet (read: Diet Dew ) didn't help. As soon as I cut sodas out 15 months ago (still have an occasional soda) I went hypoglycemic, lol! Then started training, and it just seems to be correcting itself. I guess I'm lucky I never was insulin dependent. |

Don't be surprised if getting some exercise actually sends you up for a week or two. Your body will start building muscle pretty quickly from the exertion, and that will make you retain water for a bit. I was back on program three weeks before I saw a loss. But then it was 5.6 lbs that week. |

Extreme Veteran 1148 Nisbet, PA | Subject: RE: Christmas Count Down/Drop Down Down 1 lb this week to 372.6. Slower than I wanted, but that also includes pigging out on a full sized bag of potato chips this weekend and eating a Mr Sticky sticky-bun during Monday night football. I'll be more consistent with my training this week and more faithful to good nutrition. I hope to break 370 next week. |
