Subject: Carbon Clinchers - question
I am looking to buy a pair of Carbon Clinchers... They are full carbon. Do I need to have a special break pad for a full carbon clincher wheelset? Will they just fit right on to my current bike and good to go or is there something else I need to be aware of/ parts needed to make full carbon clinchers compatible with my bike??

Need new breakpads. Look at swissstop yellow pads if there are not manufacturer specific pads you can get access to. Some of the manufacturers use there own and the pads are specifically designed to help manage the heat build up so they are a bit more optimized in some cases....otherwise get the swissstop. Do not use regular pads.

New pads specific for carbon braking surfaces. They might come with specific pads to comply with the wheel warranty.

The SwissStop Black Prince pads get a lot of love (and without the yellow residue issues some have with the Yellow Kings).

You need new pads, otherwise you'll chew up the carbon

"These wheels are really fast and we can prove it with our tests from the A2 Wind Tunnel. We developed an ultra-fast modified V-Notch rim shape which keeps drag to an minimum."

It depends on your preference and what's important to you. I'll list some of the beliefs that are out there and comment on a few.
