Subject: Augusta 2015 Our tri season is wrapping up and I am thinking about next year. We were busy with fixing up our new old home this year and I stuck to shorter races after running an early March marathon, but I'd like to do Augusta next year. My last half was Austin in '12. My training was not really terribly structured, but I did train consistently for it. I had an okay time at 6:03 and happily finished 8th in the 45-49 yo age group. 42 min swim, 3:01 bike and 2:06 run. Running used to be my strength, but I think cycling is becoming my stronger suit as I grow older. I am 50 now.
I'd like to find a plan to follow this time. I work 40 (sometimes more ) hours a week and have a husband and dogs, but no children at home. Does anyone have any recommendations for a plan that will suit a 50 year old working woman's lifestyle?
Also, when does Augusta registration open and how quickly does it fill??
Thanks. Excited about training for a longer event again : )
