So we've got less than 8 days to go for PTC. There are 20 BTers listed as going. Who's ready?

Ready as can be. I have been training since late June after a long time away from the sport. I did my own thing for 2 weeks and was not seeing any return. I got a coach and I actually feel like I will do well. For the record, with of all the money I have spent on this sport, getting a coach has provided me with the most return. Dont question it, just do it.

I hope this works. My previous two posts just disappeared in submittal.

I was more ready a couple of weeks ago. Child illness and injury has cut into my training time and forced me out of my tune up race today. But, I can ride the course blindfolded, I think I had a swim technique breakthrough last time out and I may actually be able to run after a whole season of limping around with a hamstring injury. So, I'm looking forward to it.

I am ready -- thank heavens, I did not reinjure my knee from yesterday's race (High Falls) -- so I am ready for this sucker and let it all rip, baby!! This should be fun!

Cheers!

We'll see - my training has been off the last week or so. I guess I'll be well rested!

I'm not ready either, but what the heck. I'm going to do it anyway. Besides I'm never going to be a great triathlete.....I'm just trying to get back in shape. .. My goal is always to finish and have a good time....oh and look good when I pass the photographer. How's that.

I had to slack a little this week - lets just call it taperingWink! I am looking foward to seeing some fellow BTers out there.  This should be a really fun race! Any suggestions on a pre race dinner restaurant in ptc?

If you are looking for some really good Pizza, there is a place right around the corner from the area where the race is...it is called Partner's 2 Pizza - it has been there for years...it has a variety of pizzas, salads, calzones, italian dishes - stuff like that.  If you take 54 highway and go west, it is the next red light where there is a huge bank on the right...take the right there and Partner's 2 is in the Aberdeen Shopping village.

They have other places around there, but you can basically eat at those places anywhere - Macaroni grill, carabbas, smokey bones - etc...

OOOps double post - I hope that it is West, if you are standing in the transition area, looking towards the road you would take a left on 54.  Anyway - if you all are interested let me know!
