Good morning BT!

OFF day for me!  Taking my older daughter and her BFF Homecoming dress shopping.  It'll be a full day affair as the closest mall is about 140 miles away

Have a great day and good luck to any Sunday racers!

No racing here, except racing to get stuff done! 6 AM 2-hourish MTB ride through fields and villages and the like. Did not fall into fish pond or rice paddy, thank goodness. It's one incentive to master good handling skills. Crazy scene when we all got stuck behind the DVD guy--he rides between villages with a motorbike outfitted with a rack full of pirated discs, blaring Vietnamese pop. Wish I'd had a Go Pro.

Decided to run after as oddly still felt energetic and the 45 minute jaunt went very well except that sun came out 10 minutes in and temps rose to upper 90's. Turned back from normal route so I could finish the last half entirely in the shade; think I would have melted otherwise.

Enjoy the shopping day! Nothing up here but pedicure, online coursework, and watching cats stalk a mini-gecko for hours. It has now left the building (and entered their tummies). Gross, but they are street cat offspring living indoors so I let them indulge their instincts when prey wanders in.

So funny but I know exactly what you mean ... by everything, actually, that's just life in these parts! I thought about you during IMM bike yesterday, thanks for the good wishes. I had a blast for as long as it lasted (to 111km on the bike).

Did a ton of walking today and a 20-minute recovery ride. OK, it was because I forgot to pick up my Special Needs bags and had to go back, but whatever

Hey all!!

I'm back from my vacay in Kauai - wow, what a great time! I'm happy to be home with my kids and in less humid conditions though :-)!

Over the course of the week, we did:

28 miles of hiking
10 miles of running
LOTS of OWS while snorkeling :-)

My husband joked that this was the first vacation he's gone on that he lost weight and feels fitter than when we left :-)! There was just too much to see and do! Plus we cooked many of our own meals to save some cash :-)!

Feeling a bit sluggish and unmotivated this morning, but will either go for a quick run after church or get on the trainer to reacquaint my legs with the bike :-)!

Just wanted to stop by to say hi!!! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!!

Good Morning

Great fall ride this morning for me 25 miles, considering my last ride actually out on the bike was in mid July, it was an awesome ride I negative spilt every mile from 12 miles thru to the 25 mile mark from 1 thru 12 was a 19.2 mph avg and from 12 thru to 25 was 21.6mph with the fastest 2 miles being 23 and 24 at 22.4mph.

Yee haw very happy with that.

Have a great day all.

Race day today!! My second tri!

400m swim (plus 20m run to timing mat) - 5m51s - Pleased, but I think I went off a little hard, maybe could have gotten around 5m45s with better pacing.

28km bike (Including 150m run between timing mat and mount line, seemed a bit long, but same for all I guess) - 50m09s. Pleased, and averaged fractionally under 21mph, I wanted over, but I think it was the run to the mount line, without that I really think I would have.

6.25km run - 27m46s - going out was tough, turned and come back on same route I felt good. Was hoping for faster, but that was a realistic time (unfortunately) .

Total time - 1hr25m16s

Really enjoyed it. Now will be looking to do an Olympic next year!

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
