I'm looking for 53/39. I currently have FSA 55/42 and am looking to do the horribly hilly in 2015. I have a 9 speed Fuji right now with a 175mm crank. If anyone has a 53/39 laying around not being used....I'm in the market. I'm still new to biking so if anything I've said doesn't make sense, feel free to correct me.
I actually might have a set of those around somewhere. And do make my way up to Madison every now and then. But before you get some, have you taken a look at your whole gearing situation? Will that be enough gearing? A lot of people really like to have it go down to 34 or 36 on the small ring and also have at least a 28t on the rear cassette, if not a 30 or 32t. The front would require a whole new crankset to fit the smaller rings on. The back is a cassette swap and (maybe) a rear derailleur depending on what the current one can handle. Not sure how strong of a rider you are either.
It looks like a 39 would do the trick. Anything smaller might now work. As for the back. I'm thinking of going to a 32 but have a 28 now. I'm relatively new but am putting in some time with hills and my current 42 small ring is hard with hills.
Ok, found them if you're still interested. SRAM Powerglide 53/39T. Never used, came with a Quarq power meter a few years ago and I had sent in my own rings for them to put on. They are meant for 10 speed, but I honestly don't know if that matters or not with chainrings. On a cassette most definitely, but can't remember for up front.

When I switch one wheelset for another, the rear derailleur needs to be adjusted because the rear wheel on each holds the cassette in a different position. Where do I start?
