starving, hadn't eaten since and early breakfast 8 hours ago, decided on the way to LAC that what I was really in the mood for was pizza and wine, and found a place in ny terminal selling woodburming oven pizza and wife. surprisingly good for an airport. peferctly satisfying.

Isn't the word cravING???  Or is "craves" used as noun a regional thing?

He/She/I/They crave...  verb

He/She/I/They satisfy a craving...  noun

The pizza and wife terminal is in NY not LAX.  Who better to have pizza with than your wife, anyway?

Very good to provide more accurate uses of cravING...

But the question was:  Do you satisfy a "crave", have a "crave"... as being a regional variation.

I tend not to expect much from airport restaurants but the best pizza I have had in years was at Boccone restaurant in Pearson International Airport (Toronto).
The phrase "satisfying a crave" sounds odd to me as well.

OP also bought a wife in an imaginary airport.  Obviously the wine mentioned later went straight to his head.
