So I assume I picked just about the worst time to get into this.. winter coming and all...

but..

just got my first bike. A 2011 quintana roo cd0.1. And I want to use it!!

Anyone know of any sprints coming up in the future that I can set as my goal and start training for?

Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like a sweet ride, hope you enjoy it!!

There are tons of races in NC. The two big race organizers are Setup Events and Finish Strong.

If you are looking for open water, White Lake sprint in april is a nice choice. I'm not too crazy about that bike course, tho, as it gets crowded with the two loops around the lake. But it is a fun venue, for sure!

I did FS's Three Little Pigs triathlon this year which was awesome. It's a sprint tri with a pool swim, so would make a good first event. That one is June.

Sounds like a fast bike! Winter is a great time to start training for a race. Makes it easy to build slowly toward your goal and reduce your chances of injury.

Thanks Key, I'll look into them.

I plan to Nick! Nice and slow. Looking at an indoor trainer too for those colder days.
