Subject: 10.20.14 Monday Madness!

Good morning BT! 

4:15am:  after a dismal long run yesterday I realized I was tired.  Took today off.  Back at it again tomorrow once I've enjoyed some rest!

Dismal long run here yesterday as well. Two hours including some tempo in what felt like a steambath, plus PMS made me feel nauseous most of the way. Two hours is a long time to feel both hot and nauseous! But didn't want to bag it as due to bike trip it was the only running I did all week! (Er....yes, there's some kind of "rule" about what % your long run should be of your total mileage, and it's not 100%. Newbie runners, don't try this at home!)

Just a fairly easy 2200m of swimming today.

Good Morning

I am hoping to get a swim in today, but am pretty busy and have some banking to take care of at lunch so Hoping is the operative word here as long as the banking doesn't take all day I should be able to squeeze it in before Classes start This afternoon.

You can trade me Hotrunner my run yesterday morning was 32 Degrees I needed a nice hot Bath by the time I got done to thaw out fingers and toes..

The weather is going to be wonderful for this time of year. So instead of gym work that is scheduled, I'm going to take advantage of outdoors. Sunny, breezy and high of low 60s. I'm going to get a short run/walk in this morning. Get some "stuff" taken care of mid day. Then, later in afternoon go for about a 30 mi bike ride. I hope everyone enjoys their day!

I guess I was doing my long run for the group yesterday.

I did my long run on the Carlsbad Marathon course and was reminded once again how much faster I am running hilly courses than flat ones. I did the last 6 miles at marathon goal pace and ran very well. I felt much better and with a lower HR than I did during the Long Beach Marathon.  EVERY YEAR I do both races my Carlsbad Time is always faster even though LB is super flat and C'Bad is moderately hilly.

Today I hit the beach on the way to work and ran from Powerhouse Park up to the Cardiff Kook and Back and then jumped in the ocean for a very refreshing trip out to the buoy. (10 Mile Run, 1000 Meter Swim)

Now that I am in proper marathon training, Monday's are active recovery so nothing else planned for today. (I feel like such a slacker )

Hey everyone!

Had a great Fall Break with my kids, but ready to have the regular routine back. Slightly off still due to the fact that they get out at noon every day this week (teacher conferences)...but at least I have my mornings!

5:15am - 6.25 mile run
9am - 2500 swim - finally got to put to use the tips my coach gave me a couple weeks ago! Now if I could only get to the pool more than 1-2x/week!

I found the pool today, 1st time since early September and it wasn't pretty! But at least I didn't hit the bottom.
