One hour easy run here. Also kind of chill. My two running partners managed to both sleep in, so got to go solo. To be honest, except for speedwork, kind of like it best that way. It's the ONLY time this city is ever quiet and peaceful, and it's cool to watch it slowly wake up. Hoping to do a swim this PM but got too busy with setting up for parent conferences tomorrow PM and Friday..

Stopped off at the beach on the way to work this morning and ran from Powerhouse Park up to George's and back and then jumped in the HUGE SURF and did 1 lap of the outer buoy. The inner buoy was getting clobbered by the big waves so I opted to head further off shore to find some smooth water.

At lunch I headed out through the lagoon and ran down to state beach and then up to Powerhouse park and did a lap of the inner buoy before heading back. (Tide had dropped and the surf had backed off a bit)

Totals for the day: Run 18 Miles, Swim 2,500 Meters

My arms are tired after catching and body surfing a few of the bigger set waves. I got "rag dolled" a few times on the way in and it sure was fun out there. Water is still super warm but the days of skinning it out there are surely numbered. Water temps are unseasonably warm and should turn soon.

Took a nice hour long hike in the hills this morning with a friend. Planned on Yoga class but couldn't make it. Had a really enjoyable 20 mi bike ride doing a sort of unorganized Fartlek kind of workout because I just felt like mixing it up.

3rd consecutive day in the pool, not a lot of distance but enough to get me going. This may become a habit! 4 mile run after work to stretch the legs.

Have a good night!
