Good morning BT!

4:30am:  :50 mins on the KK.

Heading into one of those 'life happens' weeks.  Have to get to central office (110 miles west) by 8:30am for meetings all day so not a lot of training time. Leave tomorrow for Las Vegas for cross country Southern Regionals (the race is Thursday)--my training is just going to suffer this week, which is fine.  Kind of one of those self imposed breaks I guess.  Just makes for a crabby me--but I'll survive!

Ok my Peeps--you may be in charge of the thread the next few days!

I had a couple of those this past month. There was the workshop in Bangkok--I wasn't really that far from somewhere to run; I stayed out too late enjoying developed world shopping and eating to get up early to run! Then there was the bike tour--I ran only twice that week. I just let that stuff happen--figure that most of the time I'm a bit low on recovery and my body needs the break.

Probably most hard-core speedwork of the year today--66 minutes of running including 5 x1000m in 3:57-3:59 at the rather sickening hour of 5:15. Actually felt pretty good. I got new lighter shoes in Bangkok and have been wearing them for long runs and speedwork for a needed mental boost! One of my running buds showed up and did the first three with me. The hard part was teaching all day after--really wanted to just do an easy swim and take a nap after that!

Good Morning

Hoping to get a run in today if the rain holds off for another few hours, we shall see if not off to the Gym to Spin.

Kim sometimes a few days off will make you come back rested and stronger enjoy the break

Have a great day all

Headed out for my run after Crystal and ran down to ft Point and then up to Pier 33 and back and stopped at aquatic park and jumped in the water and did a quick swim with the Cool kids. (10 mile run, 1000 meter swim)

Good bye San Francisco ??

Crazy week Kim! I always use those weeks as a recovery week. If you can get over the frustration/mind games of not getting in the training you are used to, it's actually good for your body to rest and do something different! Odds are you will come back next week stronger! :-)

5:15am - 60 min power spin

8:30am - 3.25 mile run
9am - 2000 yd swim

Have a great day!
