This Saturday way up north I'll be racing for the 1st time the Ice man.
I've tried signing up for this things for like 4 years, always a day late, dollar short....Not this year!
I'm so excited - forcast is light snow! Oh boy! I can't wait. I mean 4000 mtb'ers on 1 trail....I have no idea what this will look like, but trust me I've been looking at all the photo of past years! Man it looks to sweet!
I hear the after race events have a super great vibe - man I wish it was Friday and I would be driving up right now!

Anyone else going to be up there?

I'm in wave 34 - riding a Jamis...I'm sure you'll be able to pick me out ...lol....just look for the Biggest handlebar mushstach - that should be me.

Anyways had to tell someone...everyone at work is soooo very tired of me talking about it.

Have a super fall.
PB

Good luck.  I've done it several times, in all sorts of weather.  It can get pretty crazy.  What wave are you starting in?  The later you start be prepared for possibly walking your bike up some hills because of the line of people also walking their bikes up.  In some places getting off trail and around said group is not an option.  Ready for sand and mud?  Also, don't  get overly confident and go out to hard.  The hills don't start til mile 20.

nice advise Sir....I'm not going to win anything in wave 34....figure 2700 in front before i go, i'll be just enjoying the great ride, talk'in it up with whoever will listen...
Going out hard isn't really my thing - and walking up big hills is par for the corse.

Have a super weekend.

What he means is - if it snows and you start in a later wave then you will be riding 30miles on peanut butter :-)

great race though lots of fun - and yes dont go out too hard too soon no matter how fit you are!
