Supposedly I can get a lot more power to the pedal if I start using cycling shoes. Problem is, I wear a 13EW. In New Balance I usually get EE or even EEEE. Who has had success finding super-sized shoes for cycling.

I know Sidi makes what they call Mega series that I believe are extra wide. I see them on sale sometimes otherwise they are pricey (but excellent quality).

For reasonably priced shoes, try Shimano R088W. The W, as you might suspect, stands for wide. I wear a 10.5 or 11 4E in most shoes, and these work for me. Bought 'em on Amazon, I think, for around $110.

I also have a pair of Specialized MTB shoes in wide, but Specialized, as with Sidi, only makes their higher-end shoes in wide.

Lake makes most of their shoes in wide, but good luck finding any if you want to try them on. But they get good reviews. Would love to try some.

Bont and Lake are your best bet for wide. You also have to think volume too -- how thick (or tall) your foot is just in front of the ankle. I think the Sidis miss the mark here.

Good luck!

I think one of the widest brands is Louis Garneau. I have one of their tri shoes and it's superbly comfortable and roomy.

x2 on the Louis Garneau shoes.  I'm a 'D' and mine are very comfortable.   I also had a pair of Lake tri shoes that fit well, but they didn't hold up very well and wore out after a couple of years.

Nothing will replace getting into the Local Bike Shops and trying some on. I have a wide foot and Love both pair of Bontragers I have, The fit really well and am very comfortable for 4-5 hours in them,

Now if only I could find a saddle/short combination that could be comfortable that long

I'm a 9-10 (men's) and 4E, 6E if I can get it (which I usually can't).

I've found mountain biking shoes to generally run wider than road shoes. I've ridden my SIDI Dominator Mega width pair to broken straps, totally worn soles, thinning on the sides (soon to be holes).

I also like the Shimano M088 Wide Fit for a cheaper shoe. They're not as perfect a fit as the SIDI but they're great for anything up to 60 mile rides or so.

If you have some ducats I'd actually recommend getting custom shoes. You can wind up spending a very pretty penny on a bunch of cycling shoes that don't quite fit.

I have tried many different shoes for width and kept having numb foot issues so I ended up ordering custom bike shoes....first shoes that actually fit.

I found Shimano men's road shoes in wide were okay, LG some models worked others not so much, Sidi Megas didn't fit my foot right at all. After buying all those shoes and also custom inserts, I wasted a ton of money it would have been cheaper to buy custom shoes right off the bat.

I have heard Lake makes wide tri and road shoes that work well.

These are what I have.....I was able to pick the colors and design the look.

I have been using New balance since long. They fit me well though I have wide feet. I have been ordering them from hype and I always get good quality shoes from there at affordable prices. Shimano is another one that is good for wide feet.

Bontrager shoes are surprisingly wide. My husband changed from Sidi Mega to the Bontragers and they are wider, nicer and less $. All good!

I have the most hard to satisfy feet and they're wide. I've recently had knee replacements on both knees so the right shoes make all the difference. My uncle suggested I try Orthofeet shoes after he had great success with them. So i did. I am very, very happy with these shoes!!! Now I'm looking for some cool summer shoes to wear on my cruise! Any suggestions?

So, since my beloved go-to shoe brand has changed its shoe, after reading the bruhaha about the minimalist shoe, I decided to give it a try. Now I have a foot issue with my arch area.

Whether your bike is new, new to you, or you have not been on the bike for a long time, you really should spend some time thinking about how your bike fits you.
