Swim
Comments: The first lap was easier than the second, because on the second lap the girls doing the next distance down are starting to get into the pool too. This leaves very little room to spread out. Also at present my swim fitness sucks a bit. What would you do differently?: Train more Transition 1
Comments: The run from the pool to transition is probably 200m and a good half of it is on chip seal, so not good on bare feet. Happy with this took my time a little just to keep my heart rate down a bit. Took a little while to find my bike but not too bad. What would you do differently?: Toughen the feet up somehow Bike
Comments: Really happy with the average speed on this ride. By lap 4 it was getting really crowded, especially at the turn around point. By lap 5 & 6 there was a bit of a line up to get around. Transition 2
Comments: Uneventful. Run in change shoes and put on hat head out again. Lost my spot a bit and it took a few seconds to find it. Run
Comments: By the time I started the run it had started to get fairly warm and there was very little shade on the course. I found it really hard to get into a rhythm and I probably walked half of the run. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a cup of water. Transition was open so picked up my stuff, loaded the car and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of consistent training. Last updated: 2014-11-09 12:00 AM

Got up fed sorted the dogs, had some breakfast and set off at about 6:40. Race start wasn't until 8:30 so I had plenty of time
