Event comments:

Day two of a double weekend. Ran the entire race with my wife. The beginning of the race course was pretty nice but maybe by mile six or so it became relentlessly plain and later in the race industrial. However, the course was very well supported, very safe and the start/finish are was nice. The finish line offerings were also outstanding, the race shirts were great. In those respects it reminded me of the El Paso marathon, not much for a course but they really threw their efforts into the organization and atmosphere.

Holy cow, a double. That is impressive (and a little nutty too). Nice that you ran with your wife.

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!
