I contacted wheelbuilder and they said they have and can lace a G3 or GS Powertap into the Flo 90 as long as it has the 24 count spokes. The have to trim the fairing around the spoke just a little.

So, which one of has done it already? Do tell...

interesting.  I sold my Flo90 rear to switch to a powertap G3.  i'd imagine going this route would void any warranty that Flo would have on the fairing, but it should work.

It would void it. However, my 2 year warranty has a couple more weeks left.

They used to do similar with 1080 zipps. You should be good to go, If Wheelbuilder says they can do it, they can do it.

I think I will go with it. It's under my $1K budget. In the beginning, I just dismissed it when Flo said no it couldn't be done.

At that price, any reason you wouldn't go Power2max ?

I have a 2006 Cervelo P3C. When I was looking at P2M, their support said there was a compatibility issue with their product and the bottom bracket. Looks like they expanded their line since I first checked with them.

I have a P2max on my P3C, albeit 2008, not 2006 so maybe a different BB.

Does the $900 include the cost of shipping your wheel to and from WB?

Why not take the $900 and buy a used Quarq instead? Then you can use ANY wheel you want and always have the power meter…

PowerTap needs to be laced 2x on both drive and non-drive side… most wheels (and I believe the Flo 90 is the same) will be 2x on drive and 1x on ND.

I've been talking with their support. Looks like I can get the classic FSA Gossamer, BB, chain rings and shipping a little over $900. Then I get my LBS to install.

No. He said it is usually $25.

I do like the any wheel option. That is why I'm leaning harder to the Power2Max. Choices!
