Obviously, you go for the bike that fits best but I am purely asking your opinion on what you would go for assuming both fit equally. I'm eye-balling the 2015 Felt IA4 and comparing it to the 2015 Felt B2. Purely looking at the bikes and components, and again, assuming both fit equally, what would you go for?

I believe there was a write up on the Felt bikes over on Slowtwitch a couple months ago. I'd go check that out.

The geometry of the two isn't that different so odds are if one fits so will the other... but there are some differences so who knows.

Definitely the IA4 over the B2 but it's not like they're equally priced.

depends on your use, terrain, available cash and how much that 'last second' of performance means to you.  The B2 is $3700, whereas the IA4 is $5500.  (before any discounts you might negotiate).

no doubt that the IA will be the slipperier bike in a  crosswind- but the pleasure of having Di2 and an overall simpler steed to maintain, puts me in favor of the B2.  If you're vying for a Kona slot, get the IA.  If this is a bike you're going to ride the hell out of in all kinds of terrain and conditions, and then race on it from time to time, then the B2 will just be more fun.

anyway- that's my thought.  The enjoyment of Di2 should not be underestimated.

Geometry of the frame is the same up to the head tube, then it becomes much different in terms of stack and reach.  You can make the IA fit the same as a taller B2 but you cannot make the B2 fit as low as an IA. Read this for more info.  So, OP it all depends on what you want/need out of the fit on the bike, long and low or long and tall(er).

After riding a 11-spd B12 for the past year it's been great, but I'd love to try the Di2.  Probably would never go back to mechanical if I did!

To answer your question: I need a taller front end due to neck issues so I would go with the B2 over the IA and get the Di2 bonus out of it.

Does a degree or two difference between two frames(head and/or seat tube) really make that much of a difference when it comes to fit?

We are often asked the question, "What size frame should I buy" and the answer is “it depends”. I know that’s not the answer you want to hear, but hopefully the following will shed some more light.
