Subject: Lake Placid - training camp research
I'm researching training camps for Ironman Lake Placid. I have found some but I thought I'd ask here for referrals. If you have heard of or participated in a training camp for Ironman Lake Placid and you'd care to share it I'd be thankful.

The first time I did IMLP I went up with a group from BT and we all basically did the same workouts over a weekend. It was self supported and we did have any coaches but it was a lot of fun and had a group/team atmosphere.

When I did IMLP this past season, I went with a group of people from my local shop. We all had the same basic routine but we did it ourselves as we all had different paces, goals, time contraints, etc.

There are a bunch- TriTrainer, Endurance Nation, Fireman Ironman Camp....the list goes on. If you need the support then it may be worth it. I am the type of guy where I do my own thing, get my work done and then meet everyone at the pub for a beer and dinner.

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
