Subject: RE: Cut off Times Question Generally the cut off time refers to the time that they need people to be out of the water. If there are multiple waves, you will have 30 minutes from the last wave. If they planned to have a break between the start of the sprint/olympic races, they usually won't pull you off the course if you are outside of the window, depends how far you've made it.
Two reasons for a cutoff time. 1 ) permits require that the venue open to the public or 2 ) safety concerns for staffing that area.
For the swim, they need to make sure that the boating staff is able to respond to the needs of the swimmers. |
