Hi Kids.

5 mile run this morning for me. On my fun scale, running in a smelly crowded urban environment is only slightly above getting hit over the head with a snow shovel. However one benefit is that I can see my reflection in the shop windows and use it as a way to correct running form problems. This morning I feel like I made some corrections that will really help in the long run (pun intended!!) I also forgot to leave a towel for myself at work so I had to dry off by standing in front of the electric hand dryer. And that's the image I'll leave you with to start your day...

Hahaha Jamie, you were THAT GUY this morning man. Well, you put a smile on my face!

Great work K and Teech!

1:40 4500m squad swim with hubby Kingsley's team. I love training with them; they really push me. I'm often the slowest swimmer in the slowest lane and today was no exception!

0:40 aquajog follow-up

1:40 run/walk later in the day (over 100F today so I waited until it was merely over 90F).

Good Morning

Run day for me now that the snow is all Gone Yea!!! but very cool and VERY WINDY 60 MPH gusts to 75Mph last night took out 3 sections of my fence at home. a bit better now but still blowing at 25 with gusts to 40 should make for an interesting run think I will try and hide in the river valley and in the woods.

Have a great day all.

Great image Jamie!

I was up early to teach a spin class. Wasn't feeling very motivated until I started. Everyone forgets that instructors aren't always excited to be there either, but we put on a show regardless. Lucky for me, I got into the groove within a few minutes and ended with a great calorie burn!

I just started with a coach and she has me doing my 1st track workout today.  I "get" to use an indoor 200m track to do 2 mi. of intervals.  Luckily I live almost exactly a mile from the gym so I can avoid 16 laps of WU and CD.  I'm sure the neighbors will be entertained by my dynamic stretches along the way.  ("Who the heck is that weird lady leaping around in the middle of the street?  She's wearing clothes so I won't call the police just yet.")

Hit the trail at lunch and ran up Penasquitos Canyon all the way to the Waterfall and was rewarded for my efforts. (12 Mile Run)

The Waterfall actually has water in it. The recent rains dumped a bunch of water up in the foothills and the waterfall is actually flowing for the first time in a very long while. There were plenty of folks sitting on the rocks and wading in the water. (It is a pretty warm day today)
