In a nutshell. Yes. However, you cannot expect them to both be "A" races. If you are working with a coach, tell him/her what you are trying to do... they will have do you more active recovery. If you are not using a coach and trying to do that on your own, race number 2 will hurt more than it should. I've done back to back races with 6 weeks in between, but like I said... don't expect 2 "A" races.

Then my answer is changed to "not without risk of injury or complete body shutdown." Sorry to be blunt.

I did CDA and Canada 4 weeks apart this last year. No coach. Be Iron Fit and the BT 20 week beginner tri program combo. Was either race an A race? No. I had planned on "racing" CDA, but when the wind came up I decided to save my energy and see if I could put something together in Canada. Didn't have enough in the tank to "race" that one either. I just decided to make each day as fun as possible. I say go for it!

I was going to do IMC and IMMT three weeks apart this year but the medical gods had other plans for me.

I have done two IM's eight weeks apart and I thought that was fine.

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

I was filled with anticipation for this event, as it was the first in what I hoped would be many triathlons, and I had no idea how I'd do.

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Know that base training is not a component of training that is going to necessarily make you faster, but it will make you stronger and give you more endurance to last through the longer races.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
