Any advice for chafing along the bottom side of HRM strap? I have an older Garmin soft strap as well as the new Garmin soft strap that came with my 920. I've tried BodyGlide as well as my cycling Chamois Buttr, TriSlide Spray and Nubutte.

I don't have a solution for the chafing, but if you don't find one, you may consider an HRM you wear on your wrist. DC rainmaker has reviewed a few.

Chafing is caused by movement. So I'd suggest tightening that baby up.  Also, I've found that they seem to have a fairly good "range" in that you can move it up or down quite a bit and still get a solid reading.  Maybe you can try adjusting it a bit if you get a better area to fit the unit.

Throw it in the garbage. I've been through probably 5 straps over 4 years....I got tired of replacing them.

I bought one of these and won't turn back.

I just switched my soft strap for my Garmin 901 over to a Polar strap and it is soft and accurate. I am very happy that I didn't have to crank up on the tightness to get a proper reading.

That said, I much prefer the scosche optical strap. The short battery life (8hours) and price ($75) are the downsides.

Switched to a Garmin hard strap and solved the issue. Tried a bunch of other straps and all of them caused the same thing.
