Or I'm sure it's probably at least close to that number. I'm 6'1" and sit around 168 currently, working my way down to 155 for Boston yet marathonfoto has an uncanny ability to make me look like I'm 200+ and an absolute completely shapeless, muscle-less blob. WTF!?

It's also amazing how they zap a photo of you when you are walking or even make you look like you were walking when you were actually running. Or they time it when your face droops when you are on the down pound of a step.

It might be finisherpix instead.

My last tri I cringed at my photos - no WAY was i ordering any of those - what a pasty, half-drowned look I had ... I had an awesome race, too. It just didn't look great!

That's 99% of the photos taken of me when I run, including my high school yearbook XC photo. I looked like a 90 year old man. Somebody please get a picture of me on the up step!

- It's impossible for them to catch you in mid-stride where both feet are off the ground
- They can only catch you when you look like death, even if you smile at the camera it will come out with your face twisted like you have a turd stuck sideways
- Your arms will always be positioned so it looks like you are swimming instead of running
- They use the "moron" filter to make you look as much like the missing link as possible
- They use the "fatty" filter to catch your svelte physique at the right moment where your gut is protruding out or your boobs (for women) are going in opposite directions. I won't mention what your upper legs look like, but cottage cheese comes to mind.

And for the low low price of $275 each, you can own all of these pictures on a CD for your personal use & pleasure.

I have learned not to even LOOK at the professional photographs of my run and I have FORBID my family from taking run pictures. Bike and swim all day but NO RUN PHOTOS! I was in a funk for a week after NJ State..................

I actually bought pics from my last race because they were good for once.  It only took 5 years of racing for it to happen.

So the solution to your problem is to race Barrelman at Niagara Falls!

I like the picture in my head showing how I think I look running as opposed to any of me actually running.

Ha! Agree completely.  They took a picture of me at mile 4 and mile 12 of my last HM...I looked like death both times.  Of course, I felt like death at mile 12.

My issue is the moobs I end up with when I'm running in those pictures. I look in the mirror...nothing, photos when running...size C easily.

I think that's illegal...you have to show the picture since you brought it up. That goes for the rest of you too.

My biggest pet peeve is when they have to bike photographer 10 feet from the bike mount area. So you get a nice picture of you fumbling to put on your shoe.

In fairness, here are all three pictures I had from my tri two weeks ago. Now, what makes this sad is how hard I tried, especially in the last one as you can see. I got a picture coming out of the water looking quite amorphous for being 5'11" and 157, then I got a nice shot of me, not so gracefully putting on my shoes, then the clincher; me trying to be a bad arse and flex in full stride crossing the finish line (Not looking quite as cool as Antonio Brown after a touchdown like I intended). Although running around a 6:40 pace at the time according to my watch, I look like I'm standing perfectly still. So, now it's your turn.

If you are an athlete who struggles with losing those last few pounds, take note. Weight issues may have little to do with body fat and more to do with “I'm not good enough.”

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
