Good morning BT!

4:15am: 1:45 on the KK. Figured I better get a long ride in this morning as I won't be back on my bike until January! I plan to keep up with training while in Hawaii but will probably be hit and miss starting the threads--but I do like staying in a routine. It'll be nice to be a bit loosey-goosey though--Ironman CDA training starts January 5th!

Have a great day!

Have a blast Kim!

Just starting to get back at it after a 3 month break. Alternating strength training and TrainerRoad base plan bike rides. Strength work tonight. Hope to build up to my previous routine soon after the new year.

Good Morning

Lite easy swim for me today, of course that what I said about Tuesday's workout as well and ended up doing an hour of fast 50"s and practicing deep water starts. LOL

Have a great holiday Kim and enjoy the sun and sand.

We leave for Denver on Saturday, so I have had to move my long run to today. 7 miles after work, then a 45 minute swim later tonight.

Have fun in Hawaii Kim!

Hi kids. 90 minutes of biking for me today. I had a spooky morning which I feel I should share with all of you.

I'll spoil the ending of this by saying that it all ended ok. So my uncle was visiting Venezuela and decided to go running in the rainforest by himself. He and I have gone running through the red woods for hours at a time for years. He's really part wolf and knows how to handle himself out there. He's very strong and very resourceful, which is why I'd been fearing the worst when I realized he'd been gone for several days. Search parties were out, dogs, police, soldiers, heat seeking cameras on helicopters, the works. Then I get the news that he's alive. Apparently he "got lost" for several days out there and then heard the search dogs and followed them out. Now that I know he's alive, I'm gonna kill him. What's the moral of the story for all you athletes out there? I dunno, don't go running in the Venezuelan rainforest by yourself I guess...

Yikes--That sounds like something I would have done when I was younger and crazier! Pretty safe stuff here--AM 50 minute trainer ride (on the new bike--sweet!). PM 3000m of swimming. Pool was f....cold. Could only get warm doing 400 IMs. "Winter" offiicially here.

I'm jealous, Kim. Which island(s)? Off to Sri Lanka on Sunday. Lots of biking (bike tour) planned, not mich else--might squeeze in a few swims or short runs if the opportunity arises.

AM - 10 mile aerobic run

PM - 5 mile easy run

That puts me at 66 miles for the week and should top out around 95 this week. Feels good to be piling it on once again.
