Subject: Ready for the next level Hello! This will be my third season of sprint triathlons. In the previous two years, I didn't put much effort into my training and made lots of excuses to skip workouts. I don't want to look back years from now and wonder how much better I could have done. So, this year I want to take the training seriously. I want to get a training plan and stick to it. Does anyone have any thoughts on the training plans offered on this site? Is it better to pay for a plan or just use one of the free ones? I am not looking at getting a coach or anything either. Also, last summer I strained or pulled my calf muscle during a duathlon. It just recently reared its ugly head late November. I think the injury was minor but obviously it is not going away. My first triathlon this year is mid May and I want to start a 16 week plan on January 16th. Hopefully my calf is better, I am not running on it until the 16th of January. I still swim, pull only, and use the bike trainer. |
