Subject: RE: Best mountain biking in winter? I *LOVE* my fatbike! I live in Evergreen, so the snow stays on the trails a bit longer up here. It definitely makes certain conditions a lot easier to ride in the winter. I'm just loving the fact that I can ride a real bike all winter instead of getting stuck on the trainer or at spin class. The only time it doesn't help is when it gets warm and muddy out there. I think the next few days might be too sloppy up here to ride I got mine super cheap at bikesdirect.com, and just put nicer tires on it and it was good to go. Framed Minnesota makes some nice cheap fatbikes too that you can order online for less than $1000. So, if you guys decided you "need" them, you can find good deals. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a specialty bike, you know? |
