Whatch'all got?

2800m swim for me, 50min intervals on the trainer, 20min run. Really nice to be getting back into proper training!

Morning!

4:30am:  40 minute easy run

5:15am:  45 min strength + core

Easy teaching week this week--semester finals! I might even sit down at my desk!  Have a great day!

One hour run and 3000m of swimming. Most of it was freestyle distance stuff and it felt so good to do some fly at the end--you're probably the only one who'd appreciate that (although maybe not right now)!

Ran the dog this morning a total of 2 miles (1mi run, 0.5 walk, 1mi run).  He's slowly getting back into shape from his ankle tendon surgery in Oct, we're now up to 2 miles per outing.  Its amazing to see the change in his demeanor now that he's running again.

Day 2 of post-race recovery for this kid. Its not getting hard yet (To Do Nothing) but I am sure the legs will start getting frisky soon and the trails will start calling me.

Not much DOMS and lingering stiffness has dissipated. Stretching is starting to feel good and I might do some light yoga after work.

RUN

AM 7 miles, Track - 8x600 @5k w/200 recovery (60s), 2x200 all out w/200 recovery. Had planned on 10x600 but the legs were going by 8 so I called it. Also, had planned on 4x200 but 100 meters into the third 200 my IT pinged so I pulled the cord.

That's all for today. Don't think I'll be doubling this evening.

Afternoon all

4.5 mile tempo run at lunch for me today went well considering the amount of running I have been doing of late.

Have a great day all

This is my second week at masters. I spent nearly an hour and a half in the pool tonight which is a lot for me. They've changed a lot in my swimming style. I'm hoping it translates into speed and efficiency.

Maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of priority will be my keys to success. Before summer fades into fall, I will be a Triathlete and eager to race again.
