Subject: 1.28.15 What Up Wednesday!

Good morning BT!

4:30am:  6 mile run headlight run with my pooch Lola.  She has been terrible on the leash because on the weekends she runs free through the desert.  Over the weekend I picked up a Thunder Leash (as advertised on TV!) and it actually works well!  She pulled a bit initially but after a few yanks she figured it out.  It was nice to have the company on a dark, cold morning!

5:45am:  15 minutes core

I'm meeting a group for an hour-ish long run w/ intervals after work, as long as I don't have to work late again.

I have a 1 hour trainer ride after school then 30 minutes strength training on tap. I am in Week 7 of Ironman Training and I love it!

I use a no pull harness for my husky and it works great! The leash attaches in the front so when they pull it turns them to the side.

3000 yards in the pull this morning then a short ride and 1 hour run this evening.

2300M in the pool at lunch today straight swim, and 20 minutes of Core on the deck afterwards.

Headed out at lunch and ran up Atomic Ridge to Torrey and then down Broken hill to the beach and north to the lagoon to circle back. (12 Mile Run)

Its sort of a weird day weather wise out. Partly cloudy but warmish and muggy. I took a quick dip in the ocean when I got down on the beach but not enough of a swim to log it.

55 minute trainer ride watching video of Alpe de Huez Tri. Boy, do I ever want to do that! Uphill bike with monster climbs (my only talent as a cyclist), 21 km run at altitude, even the swim is 300m longer than a regular HIM.....It's like they designed it for me. Plus amazing scenery to boot. And they probably have decent food at the finish, too.
