Subject: Indoor trainer help
Newb question....The directions when setting up my fluid trainer say to make contact with the rear wheel and then turn to tighten 2-3 more turns. When I do this I can only pedal using a lower than usual gear. Is this normal or should I back off the "resistance" and pedal my usual gears. Thanks.

When I first got my trainer I interpreted a turn as a revolution. Make sure you're not applying too much resistance.

I believe a common test is to have the rear wheel come to a rest after 20 seconds once you reach 20 mph and stop pedaling.
