Well, it's only a month away.  If you haven't registered don't wait til the last minute as the race has been selling out.  Who's in?  And where is the post-race party going to be?

I will most likely do it....if not then I will be at the party. Shall we do Redmond's Bar & Grill again to keep it simple??  There's another brunch place at the Marriot at Redmond Town Center called Sear which is supposed to be good too.

I'd be in for a post-run meet-up (and I'm sure Lisa and Abbie would be too).

I finally signed up for the race. Looking forward to the race this year as I missed last years. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I see a few changes on the race website.  Wave starts?  5 minutes increments.  If it's as cold as last year I'm not standing around any longer than I have to.  I didn't think the course was that crowded to have to spread it with waves.

They appear to have changed the course a little.  I little longer in the park before hitting the trail and fewer back and forths at the end.  They also claim a full 13.1 miles.  I had it way short last year so if it is accurate might be tough to beat last years time.

Redmond Bar & Grill sounds good.  Can't wait.

Redmond bar and grill sounds good to me.

I sure wish they would freekin' usatf certify the course. That would solve all of the nonsense.

It'll be a bit before we get there.  My wife and brother are running too so I need to wait for them to finish.  Good luck to everyone.

I am actually not going to run the race, instead I am doing this one on Sunday (also right here in my neighborhoodhttp://nwtrailruns.com/events/spring-run-for-fun-redmond-watershed-2015/#Registration.

I still want to meet up with the BTers, so let me know if you have an estimated time. I'll likely go for an easy bike ride prior to the meet up so I can justify a beer.     I decided against Lake Samm after realizing that only about 4 or 5 miles is on dirt trails and the rest is on pavement. My knees can't handle pavement right now.

Race starts at 7:30.  I think the shuttles starting running about 2 hours after start.  30 minutes back plus drive into Redmond puts the quickest in around 10:30 or so.  Most should get back there by 11.  Weather is going to be great.  It is going to be a fun day.

Lisa and I (and Abbie) are planning to meet up at the Redmond Bar and Grill for the after-run party (okay, lunch). I'm bringing my bike and will ride home after. We'll get there somewhere around 10:30-11.

Great job to everyone who ran today!  Where's the photo?

Hope to see you all again sooner rather than later!

If it's easier to communicate on FB, I am "Leslie Collins Barber" on there.  FYI.

And how was the trail run the next day?

That waiter seemed like he was in a hurry to get rid of us.  Brought us the check prematurely.  Anyway, we ended up in a little biker tavern in Fall City (like Harley biker).  Felt I little out of place in spandex.  Ended up going home late Saturday night.  It was great to see everyone.

The bike ride was great--kept it in the small ring and did about 25 flat miles.  In shorts and a jersey, soooooo warm!  I know that Fall City biker bar, fun that you went there!  I went to a biker bar in Snohomish last year after a ride and it was interesting being in spandex there.

And the trail run was also great yesterday--finished in 2:25 which isn't too bad for me at this time of the year, with trails.  I pulled my quad by stepping on a rock within the first half mile, so that bugged me the whole time and isn't super happy today, but I think I will survive.

Going to read the RR now!

This program should be used for an athlete whose goal is to run a marathon in the 1:30-2:30 range and has a good running base in the past 8-12 weeks.

I will assume you have not run consistently more than 6 miles and have never completed a half-marathon. I believe running your first half-marathon is a big task which requires dedication and work.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.
