Bike rack for Prius?

The Prius has a lot of interior space. I'll bet you could fit 2 bikes and a couple of duffle bags for a weekend getaway with a significant other, I have a SCION xB and fit 2 people, 2 bikes, 2 duffle bags, tool box, and a large dog with his bed. I had to remove the front wheels and seats of each bike, but those take a couple of seconds to re-assemble.

Wow! You're right - best would be not to need a rack at all. Once the snow stops falling, we'll try this out.

I have a Prius and am able to fit 2 bikes upright if I remove the front wheels and seat post. I put a small piece of tape on the seat post before removing so I know the height. This still leaves plenty of room for luggage.

i'm going to be posting in classifieds a Saris Guardian 3 bike rack. I used it successfully to hold 2 bikes, it hold 3 but I just never had a need. Asking $60.00, local pick up only as shipping costs would be expensive. If you're interested I can send pictures and more details.
