I am selling my fast and reliable tri bike and wanted to list it locally before I go to the national listings.  It is an FM086 open mold frame that has been outstanding for me for over a year.  Took me through 70.3s, olypic distance races, training, USAT Nationals, 70.3 Worlds, etc., without a hiccup.  Full Ultegra components.  Full carbon cockpit if you want it (see description below).  Great bike.  Want someone local to have it.

Size:  54

Full carbon frame

Cockpit is optional.  It is a combination of Vision Trimax carbon basebar, 3T carbon armrests, 3T carbon extensions, on Profile Design height adjustable armrest/extension clamps.  If you don't buy the cockpit and want to put your own on, I will still include the brake levers and Dura Ace shifters.

Ultegra derailleurs

Ultegra crankset with BB30 to MegaExo bottom bracket adaptors (so you could use BB30 if you wanted to go that route)

Dura Ace shifters

TRP brakes

I will include the DarkSpeedWorks bento bag if you want because I have modified it to route the cables through it for a cleaner look.

Saddle, wheels, pedals, and cockpit accessories (cage, mount, computer, etc. in photos) not included

These photos are with the old 3T Brezza cockpit.  I can get you photos of the current setup if you need them.  The new setup has more fore/aft and extension angle adjustment that the 3T Brezzas did.

Asking price:  $1100 without cockpit / $1250 with cockpit

You can find dimensions in the link I posted below discussing this particular bike and its original build-up.

Shoot me a message to discuss.  I am in Topeka but am open to deals throughout the KC/Lawrence/Topeka/Wichita/etc. area.

Here it is being built-up by its original owner Chicanery from Slowtwitch.  He has a ton of info on the bike in the following thread:

I have a set of Shimano R500 wheels I can throw in with it, too.

:-), Mark.  Price is negotiable.  Would like to find a good local home for it.

A Walmart bike, a borrowed road bike or a new carbon fiber bike? You don't need to break the bank for your first triathlon bike.

Should you make the switch from your current aluminum framed bike to a carbon bike frame?

We are often asked the question, "What size frame should I buy" and the answer is “it depends”. I know that’s not the answer you want to hear, but hopefully the following will shed some more light.

A bike is NOT a piece of metal with a couple of wheels at either end and a steering thing to stop you running over old ladies. No! ... a bike is a space-age “weapon of mass confusion.”
