Subject: BT calories calculation vs. bike trainer program's kcal Question how does BT calc the calories from a bike file upload? Below is a snip from my log showing the Trainer program's expenditure as 565 kcal (or kjoules as verified with another program), but when the file is uploaded BT is stating 756 calories, a diff of 191. I've read a few items stating to use 1:1 or 1:1.1 kjoules:cal as the calorie expenditure. This would be 565 to 621, still less than the BT 756. I only care about this as I'm currently tracking daily food intake & exercise calorie expenditures. Granted its not a huge difference but enough to wonder if I can have another snack or not! BTW the BT run calories calc is a very close match to my watch and the food app I'm using. The bike trainer results for each all differ with from one other and I discount the food app for cycling based on a number of comments I've read. XX |
