Garmin Connect won't sync swim files

 928   |  Subject: Garmin Connect won't sync swim filesJust started having this problem today-- my Garmin seems to sync fine with Garmin Connect (910xt synching via ANT+), but today when I went to sync the last few days of workouts, it didn't sync my swim workout file from Sunday. I have run Monday and today and those two files synched fine. Anyone else having this problem? When I go to Garmin forums there is nothing obvious. It's a bit of a mess over there, though-- hard to find anything useful. I suspect this is Garmin issue (Garmin Connect has been a bit finicky lately). I read about how people were having trouble synching data from the Vivofit, which I assume exports as .fit files (same as the swim files). So much be something about .gpx files synching, but not .fit? |

New user 132 Kingston, Ontario | Subject: RE: Garmin Connect won't sync swim files Ive had this happen to me twice and oddly enough they were both swims however i don't think that has anything to do with it. My OCD seriously kicked in too and i probably spent an hour trying to figure it out. Well after getting no where i just let it go and like a day or two later it was there. Weird glitch i must say. Rarely happens so i didn't get worked up the second time.. |

Regular 606 Portland, Oregon | Subject: RE: Garmin Connect won't sync swim files If the swim was indoor, then the watch did not have a GPS signal to remind it of the correct date. Go into your watch history and look up those swims. Check the date. Sometimes it goes wacky and sticks them in 1989. If so, check on garmin connect for whatever date it says and edit them to the correct day. |

I haven't swam since then, and I might not get a chance to for a couple weeks since I'll be away. Maybe by then it will magically be fixed. |

| 928 | Subject: RE: Garmin Connect won't sync swim files Well, I was away for a bit and today was the first time I was able to use the watch swimming again (I have used it for running and cycling several times since without issue) and it synched my swim workout today without issue. That old workout still won't synch, though. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but I'm moving on.  |
