Bike Workstand for Cervelo P2

Bike Nashbar has an Elite Race Bike Work Stand. I have two, one at my weekend getaway, and one for during the week. The stand clamps to either front or rear dropout. There is a strap with a nylon buckle that holds the bottom bracket to the stand. The base can be clamped. or left unclamped to rotate the bike around instead of having to walk around.

I did not want a stand with a clamp that grabbed the top tube or seat post. No tube, especially carbon, should be clamped without a torque wrench. Seat post shapes vary too much and aero posts might not clamp securely enough.

I really like the work stands where you can clamp the bike my either the fork drop outs or by the rear drop outs. Makes it very easy to work on pretty much any bike.

The Elite stand or the Park Tools PRS-20 are examples of that type of work stand.

I use a regular bike stand (Spin Doctor Pro G3) to work on my P3.
I stuff a folded up dish towel in the clamp and take care not to tighten it up too much.
I've never had a problem.
