It's that time of year again! Anyone interested in a group ride out at Clinton Lake? I'm hoping to get in a few rides on the course before June.

Any dates of interest?

Historically, since my first two races of the year usually stay the same, I try to hit the course twice: a week before KCTri and then again a week after that race before rolling into a taper. So that'd be May 9/10 and 23/24.

I've riden out there earlier too, so I'm up for that as well. I do need to put in some more outdoor rides before that. Last year I didn't and I was playing catch-up to you and Patrick all morning.

I'd like to ride the course, but I'm a slow. I'd like to at least get in that out & back portion that was on the first IMKS. I heard that includes a gnarly hill that wasn't so nice the first year.

Looks like there will be a group heading out to Clinton this Saturday (April 18th). Rolling out from the Boat Ramp (transition 1) at 10:00am. We'll be riding the 70.3 bike course, I'm sure some will run a loop after, as well.

Reply if you are planning on coming so we can group up at the start!

The weather doesn't appear to be cooperating... Moving the ride to next weekend (tentatively).

Experts agree, doing a “mock,” triathlon on the course you’re racing can aid you in your training; performance and most of all quell some nervous energy.
