Hello BT!8:45am--8 mile trail run. Tried out my new Ultimate Direction Jenny Vest--so awesome and so much more comfortable than a fuel belt! Have a great day!

Good morning!

Knocked out 50 miles on the computrainer this morning followed by a short 1.5 mile run.

Might go swimming around 1, but might bag it.

Have a great day!

Endurance focus today in two sports, which fortunately is what I do best at and probably like most!

AM 2-hour run. I've been doing tempo pickups in most of my long runs, but that wasn't on the plan today since it was a step up (the last one) in distance. Felt so good to just run.

PM 3800m of swimming. Kind of a complicated workout where each repeat the distance decreases (by 200m from 1000m down to 200m, and then a 100m) and the pace increases. Managed to do that and my last 100m was 1:32. I am officially REALLY tired of swimming freestyle!

Good to hear about the vest. I was thinking about one of those myself. Does it seem to bounce around a lot though?

Did 1:20 on my beautiful yellow cervelo today, and filled my quota of narrowly avoiding at least one butt head in an oversized pickup truck who thought it would be hilarious to try to run me off the road.

i've been thinking of getting one of the vests as well...good to hear you like it!

Yikes, be careful out there Jamie!

We have a couple staying with us, and luckily the wife is a runner, so took her out for a 5 mile run. Time flew by having someone to chat with!

Getting VERY warm here in AZ, not ready for summer temps yet...what happened to spring?

The vest is amazing! It doesn't bounce at all--don't even know it's there.  Never had to touch it again once I got going.  No matter what kind of fuel belt I used I would always have to adjust it during the run.  Totally recommend it!

Too bad it's so hot here; otherwise the vest would be great. I have to admit I've never found another belt that carries two 500 ml bottles (which I need here for anything over 90 minutes) without bouncing, other than my old REI DoubleShot. There's a new version of it, which I bought last year, but somehow it doesn't adjust right and the bottles bounce. I've bought double packs from at least three other companies that felt great in the store but still the bottles bounce on the run. So I'm still using this belt from almost six years ago although the zipper is stuck shut (due to rust) and it's moldy and disgusting. Nathan (whose one-bottle pack I love) has a similar two-bottle product but never seen it for sale in stores; hoping I can order one online this summer before my old belt totally disintegrates.

I can say that for college graduations lasting longer than 90 minutes, especially when it's on a blazing hot parking lot surface in black robes (as long as it's just a bathing suit underneath), the 4 bottle fuel belt does just fine to keep you hydrated and cool so you can make it all the way to the finish line and get that diploma. It also leaves you parents wondering just what the hell happened to you at college

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
