Ok, who's racing this weekend?

I did the OWS this past Saturday and the water was fine! Hope the heat stays away a little so it isn't so hot by the run!!

81 degrees on Sunday - not too bad!

Doing the Olympic - first Tri in almost a year - will be interesting to see how it goes!

Who else is in??? Happy taper week!

Also my first Tri in a year, stoked for some racing! Was the water warm enough for swim without a wetsuit?

I wore my sleeved wetsuit and was fine - not hot at all (70 degrees I think).

There were a few people doing the swim without wetsuits and said they were fine as well. Depends on your tolerance and what you are good with.

If you have a sleeveless, I think that would be ideal since it has been a little cooler lately. I'm a cold water wimp though, and like the extra buoyancy, so I'm going with my sleeved one!

Thanks for the info. I only have a full wetsuit and get hot easily, so that makes it a pretty easy decision! Hope everyone has a great race!

Tempe Town Lake usually doesn't bother me, but there was a lot of boat fuel in the water (or at least it tasted/smelled that way) when I first started. maybe I was swimming too close the side and not enough in the center of the lake.

A powerful attraction of the calories in/calories out paradigm is its apparent simplicity. Unfortunately, the human body isn’t so simple and that is why this seemingly wonderful formula doesn't work.

After you have established the Ironman goal, the most important factor outside of the training is which race to choose? What is your best sort of course, hilly, rolling, flat?
