Comments: This was probably the most fun I've had t a race ever, or at least recently. I was really wanting to give up on this after we tried to walk out onto the ice and it seemed impossibly slippery. I had considered bringing snow shoes, but I really needed Yaktrax. I was with my friend Maria and we decided to give it a shot, at least one loop. We started on the first loop and it was both very slippery and FREAKY! You could see through the ice and it was all cracked. It was a completely mental freak out. I went VERY VERY gingerly. We got to the shooting station (5 tries with a paint ball gun) and it went surprisingly well. I had practiced a tiny bit in Taiwan, which turned out to be really useful for knowing how to aim. Maria would have quit then (on my request), but I suddenly was into it. The next loop went much faster due to my increased confidence on the ice. We nailed the shots and went on our final lap. I was pretty bummed to learn we didn't need to shoot at the end. It was totally silly and I loved it! Maria and I had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone. Transition 1
