Comments:

Run went better than expected. Was hoping to break 14:00, and I did pretty easily. Legs never felt to bad, but I didn't have the speed to go faster - but could have kept running.
What would you do differently?:

nothing. It was a great start

Went well. Feet slipped a couple of times getting into the clips, but I still managed the second fastest time in the age group.

Comments:

Good ride. Was hoping to break 45 min adn got it by more than a minute. Never pushed too hard, was able to stay right below my redline the whole way. I wanted to leave a bit in the tank for the run.
What would you do differently?:

nothing

Ran well. Was hoping to break 15 min, and managed much better. I focsed on keeping up the cadence. again, I wasn't terribly out of breath, but I couldn't move the legs any faster. Probably about as best as I could do.
What would you do differently?:

Warm down:

walked around a bit, had some water, and headed home to shower and get to Natalie's soccer game

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of bike strength

Event comments:

Great race. It's put together by the Los Locos Triathlon team, so they know about good and bad races. Very well organized, and on thime.

My first duathlon was a success. I had so many fears before the race but none of those fears happened. And when it was all over, I felt I had accomplished something big.
