I'm toying with the idea of doing the 60 mile route. Weather at this point looks like it should be decent. I'd be starting early (right at the 7:00 opening).
Any one else heading out to Orting for a relatively traffic-free ride (and strawberry shortcake at the end)?

Couldn't have asked for better weather! Well, okay, it could have been warmer at the start (my pockets were full of all the clothing I took OFF by the end). And the strawberry shortcake at the end was delicious.
Because I'm not that fast going slow is, well, really slow - especially when I'm trying to train by heart rate. It feels like I'm going backwards. Is this normal?
Do I swim an extra 1000 yards or show up on time to my son’s soccer game? Those small decisions become larger components in this emo/physio battle of decision and will. "Should I go pro?"

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.
I will be 20 this summer and am planning on doing Ironman Montreal. This will be my first year of triathlon, can I do this and stay away from injuries?
