Subject: 4.15.15 Wednesday Workouts

Good morning BT!  

4:15am:  1:30 on the KK, solid Z2 effort

5:45am:  2 mile run on the TM...the weather has taken a horrible turn--up to 80 mph wind gusts, freezing temps, yuck!!!  Hopefully it will calm down today.

5:10 AM 1:10 trainer ride with the dreaded 2 X 20 minute threshold intervals. Not sure I was crying from effort or because I was watching Kona 1999 video--ever seen the Hoyts' last finish?

Nothin' else. Trying to get going with coursework again. Swim planned for tomorrow--now I'll be paranoid about getting stormed out again!

Afternoon all

Doing some GC/MS training today on our new instruments so short lunch, So I hit the pool for a short high intensity 30 minute swim fast 50's & fast 100's for 30 minutes straight. I am tired.

An hour in the pool with masters for me early this morning. I think I managed my best time yet for 100m front crawl. Yay!
A short bike commute to and from work today too, and some walking and stretching at lunchtime.

This was my second outside ride and it was beautiful. It was sunny and 14 C. I did 2 km hard, 1 km easy repeats and then did a brick. It is so awesome to be riding outside again.

Awesome, after a two year hiatus from the site/triathlon, it's great to see some things are still going, like these daily threads!

Today was my first day back in the pool in a very, very long time. No agenda, just swim some laps and do what feels good. 1200 yards done, alot more work than it used to be, but that's to be expected for a while.

Did 3 miles with the dog and then 900y in the pool.  Thank goodness we had a nice cloud cover and breeze today.

Good evening.

I got in a 6+ mile run after work today. Traveling for work stinks up training pretty bad, pool as been closed on base where I am working and when I tried to use a spin bike there was a private class going on. Oh well, home on Saturday and back at in full force!
