Subject: Tire wear on the trainer
It will be a high of 2 C (35 F ) today with snow so I'm not feeling like riding outside. It's suppose to be back up to 10 in another couple of day so I can get back outside. I already took my rubber tire, made for the trainer, off my bike and don't feel like switching it back and forth for one ride. If I put my bike with my regular tire on the trainer for a one hour ride, with that cause significant wear?

Not for one ride for one hour.  You should be fine.

I'm going to say it depends on the tire.  I once on purpose left an old gen Rubino Pro slick tire that was at end of life on for a trainer session and it left small rubber bits/dust all over the place and after the next one was showing the belts.  An EOL GP4000s didn't seem to be phased by the trainer.

It does depend on the tire but it should be OK for just an hour.  Even when I am regularly using my trainer I never change the tire (Bontrager hard case) and it doesn't cause any noticeable wear.
