Swim
Comments: I only got to swim 2 times before this race. I would like to train more for the next one What would you do differently?: glide more and better flipturns Transition 1
Comments: I could have gone a bit faster, but it wasn't bad for my first time What would you do differently?: train my T1 in the same order I'm going to do it in the race Bike
Comments: there was a hill the just didn't end that I had to climb twice. it sucked What would you do differently?: more time on the bike before the race (i only got to do 10km on my bike before racing and I have never been on anykind of road race bike before). I need to get a lot better at gearing and I need to get better at climbing. Transition 2
Comments: took to much time getting into my shoes and racking my bike What would you do differently?: train T2 more then zero times before my next race, get proper laces or shoes Run
Comments: I could have gone faster. i was not expecting all the hills What would you do differently?: walk the course before the race so i knew about the hills. Run harder/faster as my body could have taken it. Post race
Warm down: massage on the legs right after and some walking What limited your ability to perform faster: not having enough time on my bike before hand, not walking/knowing the course, not enough time to train before the race, making excuses instead of putting out harder Event comments: thanks to all of the staff that set this race up. it was my first of many. got up 3 hours before the race and had some bread and jam
running warm up then stood around for 30 minutes waiting for it to start
