Nothing after April 30 will transfer off my Garmin. It's making me crazy! I have tried all the trouble shooting techniques I have used in the past (unpaired/repaired the ANT+ stick, created a "dummy" workout to force it to transfer, etc.). It seems to transfer (status bar on watch shows "transfering data"), but then nothing is there when I look at Garmin Connect. I could try a master reset, but then I will lose the data that is on there-- so I'm trying everything else first.

Any other ideas?

I had the same problem, so I looked at the date that Garmin connect had done its last upgrade--yep, April 30. I had to uninstall then reinstall Garmin Connect to get it to work. I did have to repair the 910 with the ANT, but no data were lost. The 910 made me scroll through the settings, but nothing had changed.

I just bought a Suunto Ambit, because it just works. It works when go to use it, it gets its GPS signal within a second or two, and when I connect it to the computer it downloads. No more Garmin issues. Hopefully Garmin will start feeling some competition and actually make their junk work without having to jump through hoops.

OK, thanks! I will try that.

The hardware Garmin makes is great. They are really lacking in the software department, though. It makes me crazy sometimes.

I am not in the market for a new device right now, but I will definitely be looking around when the time comes. TOO MANY GARMIN ISSUES.

I had a corrupt file stop my Fenix2 from syncing. I had to delete all workout data from my watch and start over to fix it. Not sure if it's a similar issue with the 910, but worth a try.

That's the next try. Right now I really don't want to lose the data that's on there from my last run.

OK, I tried the uninstall/reinstall Garmin Express and that didn't work, so I figured it must be a corrupted file. So I deleted all the data. Unfortunately I didn't think to delete the one run that was added before my race yesterday (in case only that one was corrupted), so I lost the data from my race. But now it is synching, so one of the new files must have been corrupted.
Thanks.

Sorry you had to delete your data. Not sure if it would have helped, but your browser could also cause issues if you don't have the Garmin Communicator Plug-in add on updated.

I haven't used the Garmin Communicator Plug-in for a while. Just Garmin Express (which is browser-independent-- sends data directly to Garmin Connect even if you never look at it there). Garmin Express seemed to have auto-updated before I uninstalled/reinstalled it, so that wasn't the problem.

I really only lost one run, so no biggie.

I have been having trouble with the latest version of GE. My big issue is that I cannot find a button on the PC side that triggers a manual transfer. That used to solve most issues.
Next time, try this:
1) Make a short dummy workout to trigger the transfer. (Start, stop, reset) That has worked a couple times for me.
2) Mode - History - Transfer all. This triggers (from the watch) a massive data dump. It'll take awhile, but the two times the above didn't work, this does the trick. Better still, periodically "delete all", so if you have to resort to this, it won't take too long. Also, all the duplicate transferred workouts will be discarded (if you name your workouts, those names copies will be retained and the newly transferred duplicates are either uploaded and discarded or summarily discarded immediately after transfer.)

I had issues with my Garmin and started cleaning the brass charging contacts with Brasso metal polish. Solved all my issues.

Turn 910XT off.

Press and hold Enter and Mode buttons (keep holding until step 6)

Press and release Power button

Press and release Lap/Reset (watch will turn off)

Wait 3 seconds

Release Enter and Mode

The resetting is best option to overcome this issue but if you are still unable to resolve it then take get contact detail from Garmin Forerunner 910XT Manual and ask garmin support for help.

I would get this sometimes. My 910 always used to get real weird when it was starting to get full. Go in and delete old activities. If I remember right, it deletes anything over a month old with the delete old option. Then do a transfer all and wait a long time and it should eventually show up.
