My wife was trying on shoes, saw some with the lace in the hole in reverse, and went to take it out, when the person helping us said NO!! and then showed us how to tie it that way! I tried it tonight, and if I didn't normally use speed laces I'd keep doing it! :p |

Veteran 2441 Western Australia | Subject: RE: What the extra lace hole in your running shoe is for Been doing this for a while now thanks to the friendly advice from the LRS. it works great as I have high arches, it means that you can leave the laces loser over the top of your foot but your shoe doesn't flop about. |

I guess I have been too embarrassed to ask at the running store. Never had a problem with heel blisters, but did get a few toe blisters from a recent marathon. I'll have to give it a try. Not sure it's worth extending T2 time. |

Member 2689 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: What the extra lace hole in your running shoe is for I learned this trick at the LRS too. I have really narrow heels plus high arches so it helps with fit a lot. The only thing I don't like is that I have to be careful not to cinch it down too tight or the top of my foot goes numb. |
