The Arizona forum used to be one of the most active forums on BT?  now, it's just plain quiet.

I know, so quiet around here! I've been hit or miss lately with posting...just busy.

After doing Marquee OLY and Esprit de She OLY, I'm taking a racing break and just concentrated training for IMAZ in November!

Contemplating Mountain Man half. Will be out of town for Tempe Tri in Sept (even though I already registered for it).

Just soaking up the amazing weather we are having before it gets really hot and stays that way!!

I think all AZ RDs planned every race when I have a drill weekend!!

I'm doing the last ever Tri Tucson event on July 5 - yup - last EVER.

Other than that, I'm not actually registered for anything...

I know.  The silence on this forum is deafening!  Anyway, still around and still racing (or some semblance thereof).  I am finishing the first half of the season in a couple of weeks with the Deuces Olympic, then then I will be doing the Mountain Man 1/2 relay (with Fitzy), Anthem Sprint, Nation's Tri in DC, and Beach to Battleship 1/2 in North Carolina to finish the year.  Good luck to those doing Tempe International this weekend!!

I check on every now and then....Crickets.

We did participate in the Tempe International this past weekend as a relay team.

Sucky Slow Old People came in second. Guess we might have to change the name to just Sucky Old People...

I guess I should say what I'm racing too...

a few 5ks here and there, the Peoria Father's Day 4 miler, mountain man sprint tri as relay with wife and daughter, mountain man half relay (w/ bhannahs), lifetime Tempe tri, ironman Arizona 70.3

looking forward to the relays - super fun and I love the mountain man events (plus I need new coffee mugs)

also looking forward to Ironman Arizona 70.3 - this will be my 6th 70.3, but the first time that I'll get to sleep in my own bed and race my "home course"

I'm off in the land of mostly just running.   So- I just swing by Tri every now and then but don't have much to say.

My dog prefers it- as he doesn't ride a bike.

Hey Runspingirl!

It's Tracy here. I always think back on the time we went out on a 60 mile bike around Scottsdale and Beeline. I was so slow back then on the bike. Your doing IMAZ? This year? Congrats! I remember you saying one day I will do IMAZ.

Hope we can get together for a ride some day!

Hey Tracy!!

Yes, totally remember that ride - you did awesome! Your first experience on the Beeline! I know you are a stellar triathlete now :-)! You know my friend Tabitha I think!

Yes, would love to ride together sometime!

Lots of people doing the 70.3. I'm skipping it due to IMAZ this year and will volunteer just so I can see it all play out! Kinda exciting since I've done Soma 3x!

Looking into doing on of the Mountain man events too. Heard mixed reviews so it's good to hear some positive stuff!

Yes! Tabitha and I get together once in a while for swim or bike. She's awesome. On August 1st. there is a 12 Hours of Pain & Purpose Spinathon. It's being held at Tribe Multisport. It's on the event facebook page. It will be my first time.

Mt. Man is great! It's a little race but so fun and challenging. Everyone camps out at the campgrounds. It's beautiful. I have done all three. The sprint, Olympic and half. I need to redo the half since I got cut off for the run. Need the third metal to complete my set. I am going to sign up for the half again this year. This was my training schedule leading up to IMAZ 2013. I look at this schedule and keep thinking how crazy it looks. I was so well prepaired for IMAZ and had the BEST time and experience. It was so Epic!

I forgot to add that I just completed on May 2nd IMUT Stg 70.3. It was the toughest course to date. The most beautiful course and surrounding area. A lot of DNF and DNS. Hundreds of them. So, I am so proud of myself to make the cut off and finished!!!

Forgot to mention - regarding the Spin a Thon - I'm teaching one (or more) of the segments that day so would love to see everyone out there! Benefits a great cause and super fun! You don't have to stay the whole 12 hours!

I'm here in Sierra Vista for a few months. I can't wait to get out and do some SBR! I love this part of the US!

If anyone's in the area, let me know and maybe we can do some rides together. I'm headed out to Tombstone a little later for a good start to IMKY training.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"
